Slowly, but surely the whole world goes to the terrific Huxley´s vision Brave new world. No-one wants to work. No-one wants to fight for keeping demokracy. No-one wants to defend traditional values like honor, dignity, veracity and even respect for the law. No-one wants to achieve something in a working career. Everyone wants to have a place to live and to have something to eat.
Everybody prefers to have fun and not to admit the problems of the surrounding world. Solidarity with the weaker, like all other values that create civilization, find themselves on the fringes of human interests. Comfort and fun are the most important things. And if in some fold of the brain matter a doubt arises with this state of affairs, the best solution is to take some amount of “soma”. And everything is OK again. For God sakes, is this true, or am I already too old?
